Thomas moves to a new city and goes to a new school. There he meets Minho, Alby and Newt, who thinks he's the cutest thing in the world. But what happens when he finds out that Thomas has a girlfriend?

The plan to save Minho doesn't go as planned. They got to the city. Minho escaped, the other kids, too, but not everyone managed to escape WCKD's grasp. After being captured by WCKD, Thomas and Newt are taken to another compound. They're separated, only able to see each other through the thick, reinforced glass of their cells. They start communicating through faint taps, tracing words and patterns in the dust on the glass. One day, Thomas taps out "I love you," and he doesn't expect Newt to answer. They finally got to the safe haven. Fortunately, Newt survived and Teresa survived. Thomas starts acting stranger and more distant every day. He gets some memories back from before the maze and remembers about the supernatural. It's even scarier - what he's going through - because he recognizes everything that happens. There's a voice, whispered riddles. Whispers by the same, old, rusty voice. Thomas doesn't tell anyone. He tried to, but something stopped him from talking. The nogitsune is in control again.
