Demosthenes is king. A role that comes with responsibility, a palace, a kingdom and an ego the size of of it all. It takes little more than a miracle to raise his interest in anything, let alone anyone. Elpis, a humble fisherman and women's son, really has no intentions of searching for more than silver coins inside the walls of Euphranor, but when, completely by the accident, the Moirai saw the two happen upon each other, he is drafted into a world that is so far from his own, by a man who's soul is much darker than his own.

「"𝐖𝐡𝐞𝐧 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐩𝐨𝐨𝐫, 𝐠𝐨𝐨𝐝 𝐛𝐨𝐲 𝐜𝐚𝐭𝐜𝐡𝐞𝐬 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐞𝐲𝐞 𝐨𝐟 𝐚 𝐦𝐨𝐧𝐬𝐭𝐞𝐫"」 ── ❝ 'You like being hunted, don't you, little thing?' he said. 'You like knowing you drag the fucking monster out of me just by breathing.' ❞ ── Cyril Roosevelt doesn't belong at L'Académie Sainte-Marie-a prestigious Parisian university for the rich and powerful. He's poor. Shy. Soft. The scholarship student that nobody takes seriously. But someone is watching him. He starts getting gifts. Blood red roses with no sender. Handwritten letters calling him his little mouse. Messages from an unknown number that seem to know exactly where he is. Exactly what he's wearing. Exactly how fast his heart is beating. And then there's Deimos King. The mafia prince everyone fears. The monster Cyril can't outrun. But what scares Cyril most isn't Deimos's reputation. It's the way Deimos looks at him. Like he owns him. Like he's been waiting for him. The walls close in when Cyril receives an invitation to a secluded mansion. Masked faces, and a Halloween party that feels more like a trap. 𝐎𝐛𝐬𝐞𝐬𝐬𝐢𝐨𝐧 has a name. And it's coming for him.

When Alistair Melek gave his life to the sea, various degrees of things changed. For starters, his love for bloodshed was exemplified. Bolder. He was drawn to the clash of a sword, blood spilling below the floorboards, like a moth drawn to a flame. And this love was damned to spread through his crew as some treacherous disease, claiming any and all who joined. But he knew this was the price he'd pay. The price for the sea itself. So when his crew completes another standard loot and pillage from a merchant ship, he allows his men a bit of fun. He liked to give them an audience, rounding up those who didn't fall victim to the blade during battle, and forcing them to beg for their lives. To prove how much they really wanted to live. Alistair had ruled the sea for some years now. Killed thousands, maybe tens of thousands. Destroyed hundreds, maybe thousands of vessels. And yet, each feeble human was all the same. There was not one man he threatened that didn't beg for their lives with all they had in them when faced with the wrong end of the sword. Each feeble human was always the same. Or so he thought. And yet, he also thought that this would be a standard job. A treat for his men after a night of good work. But this particular survivor, the one with long white hair and dead-looking eyes... He wasn't a merchant. He couldn't have been. More importantly, there was no hesitancy when Alistair asked the fairly built man whether he wanted to live, and the man replied with a simple no.

"Why aren't you scared?" I whine and he laughs. "Come on, you wouldn't dare hurt me with that. It's too risky, and I can get out of this easily, babe." I can tell he's smirking and it's sickening. "Oh yeah? Try." I say confidently and in one swift motion, he has me on the floor. He's now straddling me with both my hands above me and the knife in his hands, pressed lightly against my throat. This turns me on... "I...I stand corrected." I wheeze in laughter, ignoring the massive pain in my head. "Now can you be a nice guy and turn off the music and help me with this pain please?" "That's all I was waiting for, Doll." He smirks and gets off of me, setting the knife on the counter. I roll over, groaning as I make my way to the living room to lay on the couch. Liam Forte and Jasmine Galvin. Opposite, but similar in many ways. The difference? He's a player. Every school has one, and Liam is the one. Moving in to her house shortly after summer has officially started, Jasmine has to deal with the boy who will leave a permanent mark on her life. Kinda immature, I'm no grown ass woman. SLOWLY EDITING. DON'T SHOOT! Follow up: DONE EDITING. YOU MAY DROP YOUR WEAPONS! Follow up to the follow up: NOT REALLY DONE EDITING, BUT KEEP THE FIRE DOWN! I'M WRITING THE SECOND BOOK (the better one, in my opinion) SO MY TIME IS ATE UP.

This is a rewritten version of Golden Boy! It's completely new except for the names of the characters. Everyone has that one thing that they fear the most, that if they ever had to go through it, it would traumatize them. For Elliot, it was having someone break into her house. She's been scared of that ever since watching Michael Myers stalk his niece from outside her window in Halloween, a movie that she shouldn't have watched when she was 8 years old. Elliot faces her worst nightmare when a strange person with unexplainable abilities finds himself in her room, uninvited on Halloween night. She wakes up the next morning with no memory of it. Elliot's senior year was supposed to be above average, in the sense that it would actually be fun compared to the first three years of high school. It was the last year she was going to spend in her hometown Ardsley, New York, before moving across the country to LA for college. She was going to spend it going to parties with her best friend Camilla, eating fro-yo every day, and prepping for prom and graduation. Elliot would never have guessed how a certain Golden Boy would have a hand in ruining her senior year. Now she was stuck uncovering the truth as she's dragged into a whole new world she never asked to be a part of, with a boy she's never asked to become friends with, and possibly gain a new outlook of life that might just keep her in New York for longer than she would have liked.

"Just remember, if we get caught you're deaf and I don't speak English." "You're over thinking this, trust me. That was what I always said till I became a sophmore in high school. ~~~~~ "You wanna know how I can tell when your lying?" "I'm not lying!" He says exasperatingly. "You have the habit of staring at my lips whenever you lie. As if looking for me to call you out on your lie," I say smirking at him. Well, that's what my life has turned into. The flames start to rise... And I dance through them as best as I can... though in the end, I fall... And the flames consume us all... But I'm the only one that burns...
