Three years ago, Crown Prince Andrew of Avaloria vanished without a trace. One moment, he was the future of the kingdom-the next, a ghost in the wind. Despite endless searches, no one has seen or heard from him since. The royal family remains silent. The people demand answers. Veronica Neale has only known the quiet life behind the walls of St. Augustine's Orphanage. Her days are filled with books, whispered dreams, and the steady presence of her closest friends: Finn Harren and Levi Sinclair. But when Levi begins acting strangely-distant, guarded, like someone carrying a secret-Veronica starts to wonder if she ever really knew him at all. Then everything changes. A single discovery sends Veronica and Levi fleeing into a world of danger and rebellion. They're swept into the heart of a kingdom in turmoil, where a powerful advisor named Lord Vale is quietly tightening his grip on the throne, and the only way to stop him may be to uncover hidden truths. As secrets unravel and enemies close in, Veronica must decide who she is, who she can trust... and whether she's truly ready to step into a destiny far greater than she ever imagined. **BOOK 1 OF THE LEGACY OF AVALORIA TRILOGY**

I kept every promise I made to Marcus. Including the stupid one. We were seventeen, drunk on stolen wine coolers, when he said: "If we're both single at thirty, we should just date each other." I laughed and clinked my bottle against his. "Sure. Deal." Twelve years later, three weeks before my thirtieth birthday, Marcus calls. There's someone he wants me to meet. So naturally, I did what any rational person would do: got drunk, stumbled into our old neighborhood park, and found a shimmering portal that sent me back to the night we made that pact. I have one shot to fix this. One chance to rewrite our story. I just hope I don't fuck it up.
