Ling finally tried committing to something other than her career, the gym routine and a rotating roster of flings. She proposed. Her girlfriend laughed. Apparently, Ling's "I'm not a relationship person" reputation is harder to shake than she thought. Especially when her *actual* longest relationship is with her best friend, Orm, and the tiny child who bosses her around and claims "she's ours." After two years of secretly being together, at the peak of their careers, Ling and Orm decided to pause their relationship, promising to pick things up when circumstances were more favourable. Ling moved to Hong Kong for a job that was supposed to keep her away from Thailand for six months. But when she returned, seven years had passed, and their lives had changed in ways they could have never imagined. Do they still care for one other? Will they find their way back? --- The usual disclaimer: The characters are obviously inspired by LingOrm, and there might be references to real-life events, but the story is purely fictional. This is the fruit of one of my dreams (yep, I actually dreamt about it. Those two are taking over my life-help). English is not my first language, so my apologies for any potential mistakes. At the most prestigious academy in the country where bloodlines rule, status is currency, and reputation is everything the elite student rule like royalty. None shine brighter than Orm, the thunder in the halls, the recklessly brilliant Student Council President, and daughter of the school's founder. She's all sunshine, noise, and scandalous charm-dancing around rules with a grin and dragging chaos wherever she goes. Crowned at the top of their elite circle, The Crowns, Orm lives like the world belongs to her. And then there's Ling. Distant. Untouchable. Terrifyingly perfect. The cold-blooded top student who doesn't flinch, doesn't falter, and never breaks character. Where Orm crashes through like a storm, Ling moves like a blade-sharp, composed, and feared. She's law without shouting, brilliance without mess. The one girl in school who's never had to raise her voice to be heard. They were never supposed to cross paths. But after one strange night and a single crack in Ling's perfect world, the two suddenly find themselves seated at the same council table-and something begins to shift. Whispers start. Alliances strain. And everyone watches. Because in a world built on appearances and silence, why would Ling suddenly care about anything Orm does? When chaos crashes into perfection, the whole academy holds its breath.

The neon lights of the bar blurred into streaks of gold and red as Orm stumbled toward the exit. Her heart felt like it had been shredded; seeing Ryu, her boyfriend, in bed with his secretary had shattered her. He had claimed he only sought someone else because Orm wasn't "giving him what he needed," but that excuse didn't dull the sting of betrayal.

Lingling Kwong is a cold, composed CEO, intimidating and always in control. To her, success is everything. Love is a distraction. Emotions are a weakness she can't afford. Then Orm enters her life. "..... I think you two have chemistry." Lingling's gaze flicked up, flat and unreadable. "You are impossible," she said, returning her attention to the documents. "I'm not interested in anything like that." She added. "Not interested in men, you mean." "Get back to work, P'Taew." "You into men?" P'Taew pressed, now seated across from her boss, not listening to her. Lingling give her secretary a look. "No," she said at last. At just 23, Orm is both strong and quietly fragile. A chance encounter shifts everything. Her warmth lingers, unsettling Lingling in ways she can't explain. In the spaces between glances and silences, between duty and desire, something real begins to bloom. Orm tilted her head slightly. "Are you...?" Don't tell me she's the CEO-Please... "Lingling Kwong," the woman replied without hesitation. Fuck.
