Set in the 1980s, in a village where traditions hold more power than dreams. Tara-a young woman trapped by societal expectations, burdened by rejection, and scarred by loss. With nowhere left to turn, she finds herself at the edge of despair, questioning if there's anything left to fight for. Then there's Dhruv-a man who refuses to accept the world's injustices as fate. Practical yet defiant, he challenges the very beliefs that have kept Tara caged. When their paths collide on a fateful night, neither of them realizes that this meeting will change their lives forever. This is their story-a tale of love, defiance, and the struggle to break free from a society that refuses to change. But in a world where rules are set in stone, can love truly rewrite destiny? ☆ Warning - This story explores themes that may be sensitive or uncomfortable for some readers. It is entirely fictional and based on my imagination. Given its setting in the 1980s, in a rural village, certain events may reflect harsh societal realities. Reader discretion is advised.

❝Bhoot pret nikat nahi aavey, Mahavir jab naam sunavey...❞ It was late at night, when I heard a knock on the window. I froze hearing the knock. Slowly, I got up from my study table and tiptoed toward my bed, trying to decide if I should check the window. But something told me not to, so I climbed on the bed instead. I'm not opening that window. I know how in horror movies, the main character hears some creepy noise and runs straight towards it. Like hello? do they not care there could be a whole-ass ghost waiting to jump on them? Another knock. I squeezed my eyes shut, gripping the blanket tightly. If this is how I die, I swear I'm haunting the ghost back. I was on the verge of running to wake up my parents when I heard a sneeze and then... my name whispered slowly. "Pratiksha." It clicked in an instant. Oh god! I shot up from the bed, hurriedly unlocking and opening the window. Before I could even react, he tumbled through and fell directly on the floor with a thud. I gasped in shock, half laughing but also panicking at the sight of him in my room. "How did you-" I started to ask, but he quickly clamped his hand over my mouth. I stared at him. He leaned in closer and whispered, "Don't make noise, or we'll both be in trouble." What. Is. Happening. ~~~ If overthinking was a sport, she would have won every time. He, on the other hand, one moment, he was the smoothest guy around. The next, he was doing something completely silly just for fun. Together, they were like a perfect mess. But a twist of destiny tore them apart. Six years later, they met again, the love that once bloomed was now buried under layers of hatred, from both sides. Could they move past the hurt, the anger and the six years that had turned them into stranger?

#ʙᴏᴏᴋ-1 ᴛʜᴇ ᴋʜᴀɴ ᴅʏɴᴀꜱᴛy ᴀᴀʀɪᴢ ᴋʜᴀɴ x ꜱᴀɪʀᴀ ᴋʜᴀɴ ~ The moment they reached the Khan Mansion, Aariz didn't even bother to hit the brakes properly. He drove the car straight into the garden, the tires ripping through the green, people scattering and screaming in horror as the car hurtled straight toward the wedding aisle like a raging bull. Inside, Qazi Sahib had been waiting patiently for over thirty minutes. Saira hadn't uttered a single word, her lips sealed, her eyes on the door, silently praying for someone who never came... Until now. The sound of the engine roared into the wedding hall, and she saw him-her Aariz. A slow, stunned smile tugged at her lips. Everyone stood up. The wedding came to a halt. Aariz slammed the car door open and walked out with thunder in his steps. His black shirt's top three buttons open, hair disheveled-eyes glowing like hellfire. In his right hand, a gun, straight and deadly, pointed at Rehan. "STOP THIS WEDDING..." he growled, his voice deeper than death itself, "...or I will turn this hall into blood bath" A gasp erupted across the crowd. Without another second wasted, Aariz pressed the trigger. The bullet tore through the air. But at the last second, Ayaaz pushed his arm upward and the shot went flying into the air. People screamed and ducked. Chaos. "Aariz! Control, dammit!" Ayaaz shouted, voice shaking. Aariz's face snapped toward him, madness swimming in his bloodshot eyes. "How do you expect me to CONTROL MYSELF when this ba**ard dares to marry MY WIFE?!" Saira's eyes widened. My wife? But... hadn't he signed the papers?

Set in early 2000s India, this is a slow-burn romance of unsaid feelings, stubborn silences, and hearts that take their time to fall. "I have loved you since I was six." But I never told him. Because he was my best friend's brother. Because he was eight years older. Because he never looked at me the way I looked at him. Years passed. I never moved on. Not even a little. And then... he came back-older, colder, and wearing a police uniform. Then, I did the one thing I never dared before. I wrote him a letter. A letter full of everything I had buried inside me for years. He read it. And broke my heart with five quiet words: "You are not my type." But fate, it seems, has a twisted sense of humour. One letter. One rejection. And one arranged marriage proposal later, suddenly, I'm his fiancée. He asked me to say no. I said yes.
