Son enfance est paisible. Les récifs brillent la nuit, les anciens racontent l'histoire du monde, et Pandora semble enfin respirer après les guerres passées. Pour Aylé'na, l'eau est un refuge, et la paix semble éternelle. Lorsque Jake Sully, Neytiri et leurs enfants - Neteyam, Lo'ak, Kiri et Tuk - trouvent refuge chez les Metkayina, l'équilibre commence à se fissurer.
