Cover = Creative Commons. Blurb = It only takes a second to lose everything... One second of rage and Adam became a widower. People say it's natural to see the deceased everywhere you look. They don't say anything about them screaming your name in the dead of night, or about them trying to kill you. Highest rating in Horror so far #36 Third place Horror Winner (The Puppet Awards 2017) Reader Feedback. "Nice first chapter. Perfect amount of detail, this could almost be a short story in and of itself." @KRRodriguez "Brilliant!" @AnnMarieMarsh "Damn.... this book just gets darker and darker. I love it.... more, more, more." @melterry921 "Wow.. just wow" @Darkgirl_forever

The Empty World is a 200K word darkly whimsical Fantasy novel, in the supernatural-protagonist tradition of The Sandman or The Vampire Chronicles, about a young daimon who watches over a muse after 'saving' her with a bottle of vampire blood and how they deal with the vampire who bottled that blood and its corrupting influence on the muse. Their story is a love-letter to Gothic subculture which explores issues of identity, agency, and accountability. [See extras at back of book for alternate pitches, blurbs, and summaries.] --- Rated 'M' for some references to substance abuse and scenes of drug use, a few explicit scenes of sexuality, occasional strong language, and vampire-related blood and violence. Warning: references to attempted suicide and 9/11. EDITING NOTICE: Book 1 of 2 is complete (through Ch 20) and in editing from Draft 2.5 to Draft 3. Book 2 of 2 is posted, but has some narrative gaps and is in editing from Draft 2/Draft 2.5 to Draft 3. NOTE: Draft 3 will be an *estimated* 150K-200K words when complete. SEQUENCE NOTICE: The Empty World was written after The Devil's Shadow, but is a macroquel, encompassing the timeline of the earlier work, and considered the anchor work of the sequence with tie-ins to several other works in its series. Blood. Romance. War. Magic. Perfect for fans of Throne of Glass, The Red Queen, Falling kingdoms and The Selection. Alivia Goldeen has powerful magic - not the frail, pretty magic of fairy tales, but the kind that can lay waste to armies, bring down empires, purge kingdoms and break hearts. But she doesn't know this yet. All she knows is that in a week she will have left her life of poverty, torture and violation, and travelled to the Magna Eskola, one of the 5 academies in which those who are born with the black mark which signifies magic must register to train at. If she is successful in her training then she will be thrown into a life of riches and comfort that she can only dream of. If she is not, then years in the slums await her. Everyone is rooting for her to fail - first and foremost amongst them is Prince Tobias Basilicus, son of the tyrant King, who has done nothing but make her life miserable and confusing since she arrived. Most worrying of all is the changes in her heart, as love starts to grow and conquer all.
