Russia and America have been childhood friends ever since they entered kindergarten, even if at first they hated each other. Russia has had a big crush on the oblivious America. So it hurt when America got in a relationship with China. At that time, one of Russia's dads died in a car accident, leaving him and his family in ruins. This along with the relationship, sent Russia down a depression spiral. He started to drink, skip classes, cut, and get sensitive easily. He would lash out on others for small things. America and Russia then slowly drifted away from each other. Russia would watch helplessly as America lived his own life, with out Russia in it.
