Writers block sends thirty-four year old Mike Wheeler to a far away land in search of waterfalls, and he discovers the impossible.

After two years and Mike still being devastated, he decides to search for El. After staying together in Greenland for a week, they decide to return to Hawkins and reunite with the rest of the party.
