Nephtalie "Neph" Laroche, a mixed woman from Haiti, lived a privileged life alongside her eldest brother Joseph Phillipe Lemercier Laroche. After ten years of studying and failing to establish publishments of her poems, Nephtalie joined Joseph and his young family upon the R.M.S Titanic to head back to Haiti. Little did she know, Caledon Hockley, the son of Nathan Hockley, a successful American Pittsburgh steel tycoon who was very respected and influential, caught sight of the young woman. Beside him, a melancholy Rose DeWitt Bukater did not care for his longing glances, for she would eventually fall for a third-class passenger named Jack Dawson. With their reputations on the line, both Caledon and Rose play a dangerous game seeking out the ones that society do not deem as fit. Their promises of marriage on the line. Neph does her best to ignore the arrogant and selfish businessman, only to find herself in his clutches. Their time ticks away as their future unfolds with a single iceberg and human error.
