A novel of war, love, and the unthinkable choices between them. Aaron is the golden son of a powerful family, bred for prestige and loyalty. Lisette is the girl from the wrong side of town, his childhood best friend, and the only person who truly sees him. When war erupts, so does the truth: they're in love. And Lisette is carrying his child. But Aaron's father, a high-ranking official in Himmler's circle, will not be humiliated. To protect the family's name, he sends Aaron into the darkest depths of the Reich's machinery-into an SS unit where obedience means complicity, and disobedience could mean death... not just his, but Lisette's and their unborn child's. Trapped in a nightmare he never chose, Aaron must wear the uniform, obey orders, and survive the hell his father crafted for him. But deep beneath the cold of the Eastern Front and the screams that won't stop, he clings to one thing: a promise. He will keep Lisette and their child safe. No matter what it costs. Even if they never know. Even if it kills him.

One moment, Emma Scott is in her college room in 2015, and the next she's in 1921 falling in love with an ex-soldier with a charming smile and a secret... Emma's an old hand at time travel: the first time she was pulled backwards she was ten years old. She can sense the memories that stone, fabric and wood have soaked up: usually she just sees them, but sometimes she ends up living them. She knows the drill: (1) avoid getting pulled backwards in the first place; (2) avoid the object that's pulled you backwards; (3) prevent the memory that imprints on the object, or, if all that fails, (4) wait it out until you're back in the right time. The problem is that the object was an old ring that her Granny Alice bequeathed to her, and Emma last saw it on the finger of her great grandmother, fleeing into a crowded London street. Now Emma is trying to find the ring and go back to her own time, but her great grandmother has vanished, and meanwhile there's Charlie Lawrence who's making Emma wonder if she even wants to go back at all...

Majestic castles, gilded halls, and the cold touch of stone walls conceal a world filled with intrigue, betrayal, and forbidden love. She is a princess, raised at court, accustomed to rules and luxury, yet yearning within her golden cage. He is a knight whose fame echoes across the land, bound in steel and sworn to loyalty to the crown. Their meeting was meant to be a coincidence... but became the beginning of a story that would change their destinies. Secret glances, whispered conversations in the shadowed gardens, quiet words they would never dare speak in the presence of others... They knew they were never meant to be. Yet the tighter the chains of duty grew, the closer they were drawn to one another. When the royal court fills with rumors, and envious eyes search for the slightest cause for betrayal, their love becomes a deadly secret. And one day, she will have to make a choice - to fight for him until the end or lose him forever. This is a tale of a love that endured wars, betrayal, and separation... yet could not defeat fate. Of a woman who lived her life with a crown upon her head and emptiness in her heart. And of a man whose name she whispered until her final breath.
