Captain Barnacles and Kwazii have been good friends for years and have always worked well together-their teamwork skills seemingly on a whole other level! But things start to seem a bit complicated when Kwazii realizes that he's developed a crush on the Captain. Unsure of what to do with these feelings, Kwazii tries to keep things hidden to not ruin a perfectly good friendship. Which isn't an easy task, especially not when Barnacles is that pretty. So slowly but surely Kwazii gains the courage to start flirting with the Captain. Barnacles on the other paw doesn't know what to do with Kwazii's casual flirting... or with the warm feeling that bubbles up in his chest when it happens. The rest of the Octonauts are left to watch this messy wave of emotions, setting up a friendly bet on whether or not the polar bear and the tabby will ever get together...

Feeling sympathetic toward him, Koshi brings Dashi and Shellington's attention to Tails and asks if they can bring him back to the Octopod to see if they can help him out.
