Not wanting to be just another dead girl Beth asks Daryl to teach her how to survive in this new world. Working together he brings her to life and gives her the confidence she needs. She gives him love and a calm that he didn't know he needed. Together they balance each other with the light and the dark. (My take on Beth if she had shown more sass early on. Personally I think her character could have been a great story to tell)

Daryl and the gang has just gotten out of Terminus alive. After finding Carol, Tyreese, and Judith- Daryl just wants Beth back. His heart hurts in a different way than before an the only solace is finding Beth to figure out what this feeling is. Daryl Dixon is completely on his own. After the Saviors burn down Alexandria, he thinks that he is the only survivor. Living without the group that he has come to love, has left him as nothing more than a shell of the man he used to be. One day after a brutal fight, he stumbles upon a run-down shack in the woods. As he lay dying on the dirty floor, his life is saved by a complete stranger. These two loners find that living life together is so much better than doing it alone. I haven't written a story in the first person since Broken. It's not as easy as it sounds, but I enjoyed the challenge. This story has taken me months to write and I finished it just days after the Season 8 midseason finale. Any similarities to that episode are pure coincidence. I wrote the chapter (You'll know which one) months before Season8 even started. For anyone that is newly following me or reading my books, I write differently than most. You only start to get chapters once the entire story is written. And it finally is. I hope everyone enjoys Angel.

*Spin Off of what happens after the season four midseason finale, with Daryl Dixon as the main character.* Daryl Dixon barely managed to escape the ruins of the prison, with Beth Greene at his side. Travelling alone, separated from the group, with no means of food and shelter has Daryl on the edge. His old hostile self is creeping back. Daryl now only has one mission: to survive by any way possible and find Rick. Beth and Daryl's friendship is broken. Beth seems to be wanting something different from Daryl, something which never crossed Daryl's mind until now. Daryl finds himself opening up in a way he never did before. He gave up hope a long time ago, how can one girl change that?

Daryl and Beth are in the woods after being separated from everyone else. Daryl isn't the nicest person to Beth.

Following the Governor's attack on the prison, Daryl and Beth are separated from the group. What will become of them? Who will they reunite with? And where the hell are they gonna' find another place as secure as the prison was? (A continuation of the midseason finale).
