Basically this is a story about how main character Daisy Moreno moved from Sacramento California to Sheffield England in her late teens along with her older cousin chino and a few others. She meets Alex Turner in college before he drops out to focus on arctic monkeys his band but they stayed close ever since. He changed a lot and became a very confident cocky attitude rockstar. Often she joined in on the pub life with them and ends up re lighting the heat hidden between their friendship after making out in the bar. Alex's friend Ricky Olson and his girlfriend Kiki Polumbo come to England for a week long trip but Ricky cheats on her leaving everyone in pieces. Daisy and Alex decide to bring her into their band life to enjoy the days she has left here. Chino and Daisy also fall out yet they were inseparable since children. But he's a shameless flirt, and trying to ignore the words spilling from his mouth becomes increasingly difficult.
