She never thought she'd be back at her old home, teaching orphans how to use sign language. One day, a scientist comes to her with a request: to teach a toy to use sign language.

She was threatened to secrecy when she saw one of the 'fake', toy statues move just an inch. After the company mysteriously went under, she received a letter to return.

One day, outside of the infamous Playtime co., you meet a group of living plush toys known as the nightmare critters. Once you realize they're just kids who have nobody to look out for them, you decide to take them home to care for as your own. This was inspired by the smiling critters x mother figure reader stories, I thought it would be fitting to give the nightmare critters a father figure. And there will be some self improvement on the critters' part.
