taehyung has never seen the world outside his home. he was raised in an underground container by his parents, he grows up believing the outside world is filled with danger, monsters, threats, things that are not safe for him. his parents promise him freedom one day, when he turns eighteen or twenty. until then, they provide him everything: education, comfort, love, and knowledge about a world he is never allowed to touch. taehyung doesn't feel imprisoned. this is the only life he has ever known. his parents are his entire world. until one night, his mother doesn't come back. and slowly, the stories his father tells begin to sound less like bedtime tales... and more like confessions.
