I have known the Bridgertons for most my life. Daphne is my best friend and the closest to a sister I will ever have. Being the only child isn't just lonely. It's a constant reminded of the future I will have if something were to happen to my father, and if I ever try to forget, my mother will be there to make sure I remember. Then there is Lord Bridgerton-- Anthony...I have loved him for as long as I have known what love was. He makes my heart pound and my knees unsteady. One moment of weakness made it easier to believe he could love back, but my mother isn't going to wait for him to maybe ask for my hand. My reality is that I must get married and he will never want to marry me. I have one more London season to find my match before my mother makes one for me... ________________________ This story is based off the Bridgerton books series by Julia Quinn(that I highly recommend). I haven't seen the show (only parts). So, any relation to the characters, situations, or events relating to the book or show clearly do not belong to me. **Please don't come for my history accuracy. I did the best I could.**

As the eldest, Viscount Anthony Bridgerton has long accepted his duty to marry-yet has vowed to avoid the trap of love. Cynical about romance and burdened by expectations, he is certain he can fulfill his role without ever losing his heart. Enter Miss Clara Everly: intelligent, fiercely independent, and utterly unimpressed by his title or reputation. A woman who defies the conventions of the ton, Clara would rather lose herself in books than in a gentleman's empty promises. When the two meet, she sees past his charm, challenging him in ways no other woman has dared. Their minds spark like kindling, igniting a connection that's as exhilarating as it is unexpected. But as they match wits, Anthony finds himself drawn to more than her beauty-he is captivated by her intellect, her laughter, her guarded warmth. With his heart on the line, he faces a new challenge: to convince the woman who trusts in little that she can trust in him. *I do not own any rights to the Bridgerton franchise or characters*
