When Rebecca learns that her husband is having an affair she decides that she's done being the perfect little housewife and stay at home mom. Her darling husband is about to learn that even pregnant doormats have a limit. Jake can't believe that this is his life. How did everything go so wrong? Oh right, he slept with someone other than his wife. One minute he had the perfect life: the perfect marriage, perfect wife, perfect son, perfect career, and then the next he was losing it all for another woman. The worst part? He can't stand the woman. Never wanted her. While Rebecca focuses her broken heart on making her husband regret not getting a prenup (wonder if his girlfriend will still fall to her knees when he's broke), Jake focuses on winning back his wife and ridding himself of the she-devil who sunk her claws into his life. Will he be able to convince his wife there's more to his betrayal than meets the eye? This is a work-in-progress DRAFT. They say love can survive almost anything. They never tell you what happens when loneliness moves into a marriage. Lily and Theo Cole had the kind of love most people only dreamed of. After two years of marriage, they believed nothing could ever come between them. Then came the accident , the shattered bones, and the dark depression that stole him away. As Theo struggled to accept the possibility that he might never walk properly again, the confident, loving man Lily married slowly disappeared. She stood by him through every surgery, every setback, and every sleepless night, desperate to reach the husband she was losing. But the more she fought for him, the further he pushed her away. Then came Audrey. Theo's physiotherapist, she helped him take his first steps toward recovery. In the process, she became the person he laughed with, confided in, and leaned on, until he no longer realized he had left his wife standing alone. The day Lily saw Audrey kiss her husband... ...and watched Theo kiss her back... she knew their marriage was over. Only after losing Lily did Theo finally understand that the woman who had never left his side was the one he had taken for granted. But some betrayals leave scars too deep to heal. Can a broken heart learn to trust again, or are some second chances simply too late?

Eleven years after his life shattered in Chicago, Chris has rebuilt himself carefully in San Francisco: controlled, independent, untethered. He teaches ethics and law. He boxes too hard. He keeps people at a distance. And he has absolutely no interest in anything that looks remotely permanent. Then a work trip to Mexico drops Marisol into his life. Within days they're tangled in hotel sheets, trading insults in two languages, and making the kind of reckless decisions that are only supposed to exist far from home. The problem isn't that Chris wants her again the moment he gets home. The problem is he assumed she lived two thousand miles away-not twenty minutes across the city. What begins as something casual quickly becomes impossible to contain, forcing Chris to confront the very thing he's dedicated years to avoiding: the possibility of staying. And just when he and Marisol finally stop pretending they haven't built something real together, the past Chris buried long ago comes looking for him.

Camden Edson never believed in happily ever after. Men were fine for a good time, but love? Commitment? Marriage? Those belonged in fairy tales, not real life. After watching her father walk away from her family for another woman, Camden built her life around one simple rule: never depend on anyone. Then she met Theo Sullivan. Somehow, the brilliant cardiothoracic surgeon slipped past every defense she had. He became the one person who made forever feel possible. Two years into their marriage, Camden is thriving as a clinical psychologist while Theo begins an intense cardiovascular fellowship at the same hospital. Long hours and opposite schedules leave little time for each other, but every stolen moment reminds Camden why she took the chance. Until one weekend changes everything. When Camden receives an emergency call that her estranged father is being rushed into open-heart surgery, she desperately tries to reach Theo. His phone goes straight to voicemail. Then she calls his best friend. Only to discover Theo was never where he claimed he would be. As old wounds rip open, Camden is forced to confront more than the possibility of her husband's betrayal. She's suddenly responsible for saving the life of the man whose own infidelity destroyed her family, while questioning whether the marriage she fought to believe in was built on the very lie she swore she'd never survive twice. Some hearts can be repaired. Others never heal the same way.

I was the woman he loved. She was the woman he could never refuse. I stopped competing with Veronica the day I understood the truth: Adrian hadn't just let her into our lives, he'd built her a home inside the spaces meant for me. For two years, I was Claire Monroe. The safe and steady one. The woman Adrian Cole never had to worry about because she never made a scene, raised her voice, or asked for more than he was willing to give. Understanding. Patient. Reliable. I wore those words like armor, never realizing they were the very reasons he felt free to look away. And while I stayed quiet, Veronica Steele, the grieving family friend, the woman who wielded her sorrow like a blade, quietly took everything that should have been mine. Not his heart. No. Something worse. His presence. His attention. Every late-night conversation, every cancelled dinner, every moment he chose to be somewhere I wasn't. I learned the cost of that choice on the kitchen floor of our apartment, my body folding in on itself, my appendix rupturing as I whispered his name into a voicemail he wouldn't hear until it was too late. Adrian. Please. I need you. He was with her. Of course he was with her. I survived the surgery. But lying in that hospital bed, staring at the empty chair beside me, I finally understood something I should have known all along: There was no reason left to stay. So I stopped waiting. And only then, only when the door had already closed, did Adrian finally see the truth. But seeing and losing never happen in the right order. "Unfaithful Promise" is the story of a man who realized what he had only after he had nothing left to hold, and a woman who finally decided she would never again be someone's second choice. Some people don't recognize love until they're standing in the ruins of it.
