I am on holiday at the moment so here is another fic for you :) It was suposed to have been a one shot but it had turned into a multichapter story instead. Well, what can I do... This fic will contain themes and mentions that may be trigerring, please read the warnings and tags I used and proceed at you own discretion. English is not my first language so I apologize in advance for any mistakes. I am also not very familiar with chinese culture, customs nor naming conventions so this work may in some places not be 100% accurate. I do not own any characters I have used in my story, this is purely a work of fan fiction. Hope you will enjoy reading :)

Michael took a bite from his apple, and absentmindedly licked the juice running down his wrist. Right. Like these Chinese-Jedi dudes really existed once upon a time. Yiling Luke: You killed my father! Darth Jiang: No! I am your father! Then Lan Solo comes to rescue them with the Millenium Bichen. Yin and Yang energy, the light side and the dark side of the Force... same idea, different millennia. It would be kind of cool if George Lucas was inspired by Chinese Wuxia. His palms itched to remove Bichen from the wall; it would be really cool if he could pull the blade from the scabbard! I started this as an epilogue to my Phoenix Rising story, and it's become more than I anticipated. So I'm making this its own story. Here is my take on what happens when Lan Zhan and Wei Ying are reborn into modern times. If you like the story (or find typos), please let me know in the comments. And thank you for reading.

"Lan Zhan? Do you know? When you finally decide 'this is it; I'm done', your whole world starts to get really quiet. I could hear the blood pumping through my veins louder than the battle going on around me. I could hear each tear drop as it fell off my face onto my clothes or the ground. Each beat of my heart. Each breath in and out.. A countdown of sorts, I guess. "The oddest things run into your mind, too. I wanted to see my mom again. Just see her smiling at me once more. I wanted one more taste of Shijie's soup. One more playful fight with Jiang Cheng. One more hug from A'Yuan. One more argument with Wen Qing. I wanted to know what you looked like when you smiled. I just wanted to live in peace, and they wanted to kill me for that unforgivable sin. How is wanting to live a crime punishable by death? "And I felt this raw, burning anger at what never was and now never would be. I had never even kissed anyone! Never had anyone tell me I was enough. Just me as myself was good enough. Never found out if I was in love...." My thoughts on what happens after the TV show The Untamed ends. A marriage, someone's not dead, and the Yiling Patriarch rises.

Wei Xing had always been a wild card in the Wei family. Beautiful, bold, and always scheming, she found a lucrative niche in the underground world of brides for hire-a discreet service for women wanting to skip arranged marriages or buy time. Her older brother, Dr. Wei Wuxian, a respected pediatric specialist with no patience for his sister's antics, preferred to keep his life surgical, sterile, and scandal-free. That peace shattered on a spring morning when Wei Xing overbooked herself-three weddings, one day, all non-negotiable. And one of them? A prestigious, high-profile engagement to none other than Lan Wangji-a stoic, impossibly upright man from the revered Lan clan. Panicked, Wei Xing begged her brother to fill in just once. "You just have to show up, act distant, and leave," she promised. "He's expecting a runaway anyway." Against all better judgment-and several glasses of wine-Wei Wuxian agreed. After all, no one ever followed through on fake weddings... right? Wrong. Lan Wangji was not the one who hired Wei Xing. His fiancée had orchestrated the swap in a desperate bid for freedom. But Lan Wangji, a man of honor forged in ritual and principle, believed in commitment, not convenience. When the ceremony ended and Wei Wuxian awkwardly removed the bridal veil, expecting chaos, he was instead met with a calm nod. "I said my vows," Lan Wangji said. "I meant them. So did you." "I didn't-" Wei Wuxian stammered. "I was pretending!" "You said them. I heard. I accepted." Now, Wei Wuxian-a no-nonsense doctor with a sarcastic streak-finds himself the accidental spouse of the most rigid man in Gusu. As Wei Xing flees town to avoid lawsuits and angry clients, Wei Wuxian is pulled into the serene, rule-bound world of the Lans, where loud laughter is forbidden, touching after midnight is discouraged, and lying is a punishable offense.
