Coraline Jones never planned on returning to the Pink Palace. But with her daughter Selina at her side, she finds herself back in the house she once knew as a child. It looks different now-fresh, modern, and far less unsettling than she remembers. Wybie is still there, older but familiar. Selina takes to him quickly. And a quiet black cat seems to follow them wherever they go. At first, everything feels ordinary.
