Manu Henare never meant to be on that plane, but when the last of evacuation out of Britain happened, she couldn't obey the orders of her elder. In her mom's eyes, becoming a stowaway was the safest option...but it wasn't safe for long. The plane crashes onto an island and Manu finds herself still alive, just not alone. She's with schoolboys, all of them rowdy, alone, and ready to snap.
So, Manu does the logical thing. She blends in. Introducing herself as a boy, the others suspect nothing. Her lie was only meant to protect her until she could figure out a way off the island or find allies who would trust her. Days drag on into weeks though, and Manu's lie only grows stronger as she realizes what the boys on the island are capable of. Manu can pretend though...she can be the perfect boy if she wants to...but just how long can that last?
