This idea was inspired by Joe Moses' initial idea of what The Guy Who Didn't Like Musicals was about. Towards the end of Starkid's 10niversary 16 hour livestream, Joe Moses shares what he thought TGWDLM was about. From there, I decided I would write a story based off of it. In the tiny town of Hatchetfield, coffee loving scientist Henry Hidgens falls in love with a cute little barista named Emma Perkins. Using his scientific skills, he turns Hatchetfield into a romantic comedy musical. But everything doesn't go to plan and things get ugly. Can Emma and Henry escape and turn everything back to normal in time? Hi sorry if this is shit, I just thought it would be fun to turn this concept into a story! it's opening night for starkid's london run of "the guy who didn't like musicals". for most it's a reuinion, but for one 15 year old girl, it's completely new. ella montague is the newest and youngest addition to team starkid, and it's feeling extremely nervous at the thought. lauren lopez takes ella under her wing and helps her navigate the world of performing. they go through some very troubled times together, but they will always have each other

Emma, Sasha and Paul stumble into each other in Beanie's Coffee shop when Emma's Co-workers start singing as if they are in a musical. What will happen as the infected become more hostile? Who will pay the price? Disclaimer: Sasha is an oc of mine and this is inspired by starkid just clearing that up. I've included the songs in the top of the chapters so you know what they sound like. The apotheosis is upon us all. Everyone in Hatchetfield has been killed and infected by mind-controlling musical aliens. Everyone except for Emma Perkins, that is... ~•~•~•~•~•~•~•~•~•~ Emma Perkins was never a happy kid, always tormented by the voices in her head, and the voices coming from her own parents. She left her family behind, including her older sister, Jane, to go backpacking and escape her toxic town. However, the death of her beloved sister brings her back to the town she hates. Well, Hatchetfeild sure has one hell of a surprise for Emma. There's Paul Matthews, who seems to be the perfect guy for her, maybe her salvation. Alas, the universe has different plans. Will she be able to save her newfound love and the people that she once grew up with, or will the world be destined to end in song?

alice was a nice girl; didnt curse, didnt smoke, didnt drink. she still doesnt drink, but the other two 'crimes' (in her mind, at least) have been committed since she moved in with her mother in clivesdale. she went from a happily out and proud lesbian to a closeted mean girl forced to live up to her mother's reputation. with her new-found best friend, kurt, and her father and ex-girlfriend by her side, she will keep herself together through senior year so that she can move out of this wretched household.

What exactly happened in Hatchetfield after the musical invasion? As it turns out, a surprising amount. Emma isn't the only one not turned. After barely getting out of getting killed and turned by the aliens with a fondness for the performing arts, she discovers Dr. Harriet Hidgens, the niece of the eccentric Henry Hidgens, Who has been hidden away and forgotten about by her uncle. As she emerges from her doomsday vault, Harriet becomes the solution that conveniently no one knew existed, and potentially humanity's last hope- or is she?
