Y/N is a pretty popular girl among the students of her college. After losing a bet, she's dared to explore an abandoned building by herself. She wasn't scared at first, but the place looked too good to be abandoned. After a while she reached a room where she found a computer: it was still on, which was surprising because she didn't think there still was power running through the place. There was a weird looking headset laying on the desk beside it. She had never tried one of those, so of course she picked it up out of curiosity, blew some dust from it and put it on. The next moment she found herself standing in a cartoonish-looking world, trapped into the body of a pierrot clown. A certain rabbit boy, blocked in The Amazing Digital Circus just like her, helped her accept her fate and make the most of it. A slow burn between Y/N and Jax, where she slowly figures out what she feels for her friend, while still not being able to forget the abstracted frog, Ribbit, who haunts her memories. What happens when they stop pretending? (I don't own any of the characters except for Y/N's design, everyone is from The Amazing Digital Circus. She decided to go to the bar across the street from her suburban apartment to drink her sorrows away but there she sees a band of 3 playing on the illuminated stage for a special show, her eyes were fixated on the main vocalist. She eyed at him half lidded, how his chest rose up and down each breath, how he pushed his fur back, how his jawline moved each time he took gulps of water, how his fingers moved against the cords of the electric guitar with such precision that made her wonder how good those same fingers would feel between her legs. "And finally, Jax!" I scanned the crowd, searching for this 'Jax'. "Uh..." Gloved hands grabbed my shoulders and turned me around. Standing there was the rabbit I saw earlier. "'Sup, mousie," Jax said, leaning his body against my short figure-which reached up to his chest-placing an arm atop my head. I looked at my hands. When I moved my arm, the avatar moved along with it, black gloves moving at the same time as I did. Gently, I pressed my hands to my eyes, and- Nothing. The headset was gone. "What the @$_&." I clawed at my face, trying to remove the piece of technology. "Where did it go?" I pulled at my skin, trying to feel something, anything that was there, but nothing. Just skin. "Just keep pulling at it, it always works, mousie," Jax said, patting my cheek. I glared up at him. "Shut the @$&+ up." ~•~•~ The first thing I remembered when I came here was falling. Then I come here and I'm still falling. I bought some VR headset, put it on, and it cost me my future. Now, I'm stuck with people who aren't exactly people, an teeth-and-eyeball AI, and some annoying periwinkle rabbit. I've become a little muse of a mouse, supposed to be some sort of artistic inspiration. Yeah, right. But music is my safe space, and I was sent here with a flute and a purpose: to bring sound to the circus. I can either become the conductor or let people see me as nothing more than a statue in some museum.
