I can't keep the smile off my face as I take my seat on the plane. I slide my bag under the seat and lean back. I close my eyes and let a blissful smile grace my face. He said I wouldn't be able to run. As if. I'm vaguely aware of someone taking the seat next to mine, but I pay no attention to said person. "So where we headed?" I choke on my own spit as my eyes fly open and whirl around to face the owner of the familiar voice. His eyes are hidden behind those damn sunglasses and a rather smug smile graces his face. I continue choking and he does nothing other than flip through a magazine. That smug smile never leaving his face. "You still haven't answered the question." "To hell." I finally manage to choke out. "Awesome," He flips a page in the magazine, "It's about time I returned home. You know, bodies to burn, lost souls to torture, I've missed it. It'll be fun." *** Nicolette Moore. A name law enforcement agencies across the world know. Though no one's ever seen the face of the world's greatest thief and hacker, everyone knows who she is by name. Nicky. She's an absolute genius. Once upon a time she wasn't the best person in the world. When her family was struggling she made some bad choices to help them through it, but when she tried to get out she got pulled in deeper. Ryder Stevenson. He's the son of the director of the FBI, and an FBI Agent himself. He's the one who brings in Nicky to get her protection from the people chasing after her. He's also the one, who gets assigned to protect her. Neither one of them like each other, and they can't go five minutes without getting in a full blown argument. She's constantly ditching him only for him to show up later and prove to her he's not that easy to get rid of. They're stuck with each other whether they like it or not. But he doesn't know who she really is. What will he do when he finds out? An FBI Agent protecting THE Hacker. The one the FBI have been after for years...this just screams chaos.

When she receives the invitation, Rebecca Adams doesn't know whether she actually wants to go to her school reunion. A lot has changed since she last set foot in that cringeworthy place. Her greasy skin has long since gone, her hair is far less frizzy these days, her crooked teeth are now nicely straightened, and her glasses have been replaced with contacts-yes, Rebecca has indeed changed. She is no longer the skinny and quiet little spectacled geek who always had her head deeply inside of a book; now, she is a successful and hardworking businesswoman. Quite a few of her former classmates have also gone on to become successful and hardworking, but none more so than Mitch Heston himself - now a very famous and in-demand actor; a criminally gorgeous, very famous and in-demand actor.... who is rumoured to also be attending said school reunion. As a teenager, Mitch was much the same as he is now - well known and insanely popular. Back then, Rebecca was just another one of the shy girls who Mitch Heston and his friends used to enjoy teasing and making immature fun of. Which is why Rebecca feels hesitant about going. Part of her wants to leave the memories of school well and truly behind her. While another part of her wants to show them all the woman that she so proudly has now become. Besides, it's probably just a wildly exaggerated rumour that Mitch Heston will even be there. Or maybe, a very well orchestrated publicity stunt? I mean really, why would the incredibly famous Mitch Heston, want to be at his own school reunion? Seriously, the A list him, wouldn't really attend this thing? ...... would he? Heroes. Ever since they showed up, people have gone soft. They're adored, worshipped. Devotion is showered upon them like rain. It's about time someone knocks them off that pedestal they stand on, someone to crush their pillars of faith. Someone like me. A villain. It's perfect. I'll be the undoing of heroes. ≠ disclaimer: very much needs to be edited, very much needs to be less corny and very much needs to be entirely rewritten by me. if you approach it as a goofy, corny, old 2015-esque superhero book then it'll be a great time. i'll be honest and say there are no pulitzers here. completed ✓ highest rank in sf: #9 cover: @narwhelly

But as the saying goes, famous last words. * * * Isabelle Curtis and Jackson Carter were fierce academic rivals in high school, up until Jackson moved to the UK in junior year for boarding school. Eight years later, Jackson has returned from abroad to take on the role of CEO at his late father's company. When Isabelle and Jackson meet again, there's a war of words, banter and a passionate dislike towards each other. Throw in a high school reunion, some more chaos, and a 'deal' in the mix-one that might just involve a little faking and pretending. It's all fun and games and tit for tat, almost just like in high school, until real feelings become involved...
