Iguro Obanai, the Serpent Hashira. He has a somewhat simple life. He's a strong fighter, he has a woman that he loves deeply and plans on marrying, and he's happy. But as they say "nothing ever lasts forever." He soon finds out a heart breaking truth that made his world go down in flames. He feels like the world is constantly against him from the day he was born. Despite him surviving through everything he's been toyed with for years and can't seem to catch a break from the cruel world. Then the world sends a new challenge his way. Or two new challenges. But what happens when he has a secret of his own, and he has to choose between. A friend who he's had a strong bond with shortly after he joined the demon slayer corp and has a mutual respect for or a man who he's hated with a passion since he became a Hashira but has come to understand. Which will he choose? What is he hiding? And what will become of him?

This story centers around the ship Obanai x Giyuu. Tanjiro and Nezuko have recently moved in with Giyuu. Meanwhile, Obanai's home has been flooded, leaving him unable to stay there for several weeks. In heavy rain, he goes to Giyuu's place and knocks on the door. Giyuu peers through the peephole but sees no one-so he doesn't open it. After more knocking, he checks the peephole again, still sees no one, and again doesn't open the door. After two more rounds of knocking, he no longer even goes to the door. On the fifth knock, he opens the door in annoyance and sees Obanai standing there. Will he let Obanai stay for a while, or not? Find out!
