Maegelle regresa de Campoestrella en Dorne, fue enviada para convertirse en una dama digna portadora del apellido Targaryen, pero aprendió mucho mas que eso, ella se tomó en serio la libertad de los dornienses, si bien es cierto lo que fue escrito en cartas para el rey Daeron II, "lleva la sangre del dragón" decían las septas y maestres, pero tenía el toque de libertad heredado de su madre. Baelor Targaryen, mano del rey, tio de Maegelle, cargado de responsabilidad y de la crianza de sus hijos, no pensaba en la niña que habia sido enviada a Campoestrella, pero cuando su sobrina que ya no era una niña volvio montada en un ágil corcel de arena, sus ojos se iluminaron. Si bien es cierto que Baelor no habia escrito ni una sola vez preguntando por el bienestar de Maegelle, ella no se cohibia al pedir informes sobre cada miembro de su familia.
