Regina "Genie" Watson spent a decade suffocating under perfection: a perfect career, a perfect marriage, being the perfect daughter. But one explosive dinner with her controlling husband and demanding parents shatters the illusion. With a single word, no, Genie walks away from the life built for her and finally starts building one of her own. With the support of her best friend, Tasha, Genie opens a luxury travel agency and begins rediscovering joy, freedom, and the woman she used to be. Years later, on a group trip she's hosting, she meets Soren Avery, an attorney with his own scars and secrets. Their connection is unexpected, electric, and exactly what Genie never knew she needed. This is the story of a woman choosing herself, finding adventure, and learning that sometimes the life you were meant to live waits for you on the other side of letting everything else burn.

Twenty-six years ago, Elise McNeil's life fell apart in a hospital room. While she struggled through labor with their son, her husband Bernard Carpenter was nowhere to be found. Neither was her best friend, Jasmine Daniels. By the time Bernard finally arrived, Elise already knew the truth. The betrayal destroyed her marriage and shattered the life she thought she was building. Forced to start over, Elise rebuilt herself from the ground up. Raised her son, Isaiah, started a successful event-planning company, and learned to survive without depending on anyone else. Love became the last thing on her mind. Then she met Julian Mercer. After losing his wife, Maureen, to a long illness, Julian spent years emotionally frozen in grief. Before they could build the family they dreamed of, she was gone, leaving him trapped between memory and loneliness. Now Maureen's family wants an elaborate memorial event filled with wealth, prestige, and appearances. But Julian wants something far more meaningful. He wants people to remember the woman she truly was. When Elise is hired to coordinate the event, an unexpected connection begins to grow between two people who thought love belonged in the past. What begins as understanding slowly turns into friendship, attraction, and something deeper neither of them expected. But old betrayals do not stay buried forever. Family tensions, jealousy, grief, and unresolved wounds threaten to destroy the fragile happiness they are only beginning to find. Because sometimes the life you rebuild becomes more beautiful than the one you lost.

April I fight fires for a living-but I've never felt more burned than I did that night. As a forest ranger, I live on the edge of danger and calm. My body is strong, my will even stronger, but that doesn't mean I'm unbreakable. I thought love-real love-would see through the scars I keep hidden beneath my uniform. I thought Ellis saw me. Understood me. But all it took was one careless sentence. One drunken confession echoing through a baby monitor, turning a celebration into a battlefield. He humiliated me in front of everyone-my friends, my chosen sisters, myself. And now I'm standing in the ashes of something I thought would last forever, wondering if I've been lying to myself about what love really looks like. Ellis I was drunk. Stupid. Thoughtless. It was just a conversation. Boys being boys, joking around in a room where I thought no one could hear. But they did. She did. And I said things I can't take back. I don't even recognize the man who said them-because that man humiliated the strongest, most loyal, most incredible woman he's ever known. April is the kind of woman who runs toward danger. Who holds broken branches like they're bones and brings people back from the edge. And I crushed her with words. Now I'd do anything-everything-to take it back. But the damage is done. And I'm not sure I deserve to be the one who tries to fix it.

When you find an online post that sounds awfully familiar, and it sends you down a rabbit hole. A rabbit hole that shows you who your friend really is. This will be a really, really short story. Because of the format I may be doing this in. It will be odd and unique. And time consuming on my part once you see what I'm doing. So, super short. Like really, really short! You have been warned!

When Piper leaves the city to take over her grandmother's beloved bakery, she's expecting early mornings, flour-dusted hands, and a chance to rebuild something meaningful. What she doesn't expect is Flynn- the charming, steady regular who quickly becomes the best part of her day, and then her life. For a while, it's easy. Effortless. Real. Until Harriett comes back. Flynn's childhood best friend crashes back into town, and within seventy two hours, everything Piper thought she knew begins to unravel. Boundaries blur, truths twist, and one moment overheard is enough to shatter the fragile trust Piper had been building. Walking away should be simple. Necessary, even. But Flynn isn't ready to let her go. Not when he finally understands what he's about to lose. Determined to make things right, Flynn is forced to confront the loyalty he's clung to for years, and the damage it's caused. Because winning Piper back won't take words. It will take tearing down everything he thought mattered and proving, step by painful step, that she comes first. In a story about love, loyalty, and the courage to choose differently, Piper must decide if broken trust can ever be rebuilt, or if some betrayals leave behind nothing but bitter truths.

A story about a smart woman who loves her husband, her son and her life. When she learns that her husband isn't the man she thought he was, she works on giving her son the life he deserves. It's also about a lying and cheating man, who thought he was clever enough to avoid honesty and accountability in his life. Sometimes making a mistake and then sincerely apologizing, just might just not be enough. "Mommy, why is daddy and that lady nakey hugging?" My son innocently and loudly asks, while his father seems to be trying to locate his pants. Spoiler alert, they are on the floor under my feet, by the door, not anywhere near where he and his 'nakey' friend are sprawled on the couch. The woman shrieks, Kayley and I both fumble for the light switch just as River hits the button for daddy's 'magic office windows', which are now fully visible to the entire office floor, and all 127 employees are staring at and sharing my horror as my husband and his whatever she is are naked and trying to get dressed. Well damn, happy Wednesday to me.
