Modern AU. The Hashira and Kamaboko squad are all students (apart from Gyomei who is their friend outside of School.) Giyuu doesn't do well at school, he has long term hypothermia from when he got lost on a mountain in a snowstorm as a kid and left unconscious for weeks, almost freezing to death. If it weren't for Urokadaki, he would have died. But now the consequences get worse. Shinobu bugs Giyuu as she discovered this quickly.
