When they finally find a camp, the world only becomes more confusing. Raya has to navigate a world full of death while being autistic and nonverbal. People close to her die, and even those she isn't close to still die. This hell is supposed to be the end of the world at least it is for everyone else. To Raya, it becomes the beginning of something else. In all the destruction, she is finally understood and loved. It becomes a bittersweet new life.
