The Ruined stars series|book 1 Elara Wynter has lived her whole life in Evermere , a warm little city that pretends magic never existed. A bakery, four chaotic best friends, a found-family street... Her world is small. Safe. Ordinary. At least, it's supposed to be. But Evermere hums under her feet like it's remembering something she can't. Strange shadows follow her when she walks home at dusk. Old stories have started circling again stories about a forgotten power, a fractured city, and a child who was never meant to survive. And then a stranger walks into her bakery with storm-grey eyes and a heartbeat that makes the air shift. One touch. One spark. One moment she can't explain. Now the ground beneath Evermere is stirring again... and it feels like the world has been waiting for her, the girl with no past, to wake up. She doesn't know who she is. She doesn't know what's coming. But something ancient does. And it's finally done waiting.
