On the night of their first anniversary Gumball and Penny reminisce and reflect upon their journey as well as flashback to moments we never saw on screen including how they met! Credit to whoever made the cover art!

Set in future Elmore, Gumball and company have come a long way from their days as students at Elmore Junior High. Gumball now has finally settled down, and has forged a strong relationship with his childhood sweetheart Penny and has raised a family. Gumball has followed in his mother's footsteps by working in the Rainbow Factory, but as an accountant. The days are long and grueling, but now he understands what his mother truly meant by the joys of raising a family, and he wishes to spend more time with them, so he schedules a few days off. Unbeknownst to him, Penny has arranged for the entire Watterson family to join them on a vacation, one that will take them to the rural outskirts of Elmore National Park, California! It's Nicole and Richard's anniversary and so far, it's been awful. They've had to miss out on going out for a meal together to go to the kid's parents' evening instead and none of the kids seemed to have remembered what day it is either.
