Before the Great Calamity, Zelda and Link travel amongst Hyrule together. They must learn to tolerate each other on their journey. Zelda, having barely been able to leave the castle much before him, discovered her sense of adventure when she went out with Link. Is it possible that the two of them harbored a secret admiration for each other than ran deeper than friendship? Or would Link maintain his silence and not speak to the princess at all? This story flashes back from before and after the Great Calamity. What happens after Link defeats Calamity Ganon? This story is very long, but if I do say so myself, I think it's worth it! Soon, seventeen-year old Zelda will be forced to marry if she cannot make her decision on her own. She must follow the Royal Law, one which her father strictly enforces. She must chose one suitor to take over the kingdom and rule alongside her. 1. The suitor must come from a royal bloodline. 2. The suitor must be an ally of Hyrule. 3. If the royal does not choose his/her suitor in a time span decided by the King or Queen, they must be forced to marry the King or Queen's ideal suitor. Time quickly running out, Zelda realizes she does not want to marry someone that only cares about inheriting the throne. She wishes to marry for happiness. And if she cannot prove herself and her happiness to her father soon enough, she will be forever forced into a life she does not want to live. A year has passed since the fall of the Calamity Ganon. Things are reliving in the kingdom. Zelda thought that things would have returned to normal between her and Link, but Hyrule's hero seems to carry a burden in these peaceful times. The princess wonders if she is the one causing him to be so distant and silent once again...

Yet, unbeknownst to them, another would intervene-and her fate would become forever entwined with theirs, binding her soul to the same eternal curse that the three bearers of the Triforce were doomed to endure. This story is mine but the characters from the Legend of Zelda and the game itself is owned by Nintendo. Leading up to the events of Breath of the Wild, explore the past of King Rhoam, Link, and Zelda as they prepare for the eventual return of Calamity Ganon-and their eventual failure 100 years ago.

Needing to escape her assassins, Zelda must place all her trust in the hands of her Head of Security, Link.
