This is a story of my interpretation of Dogday and Catnap after the hour of joy happened and the prototype was destroyed by the player. I'm terribly sorry if this story turns out to be absolute trash lol, first time writing a story on here. Possible smut, not sure how it'll turn out lol. But anywho, here's the beginning of the story... Enjoy! n w n Oof! I almost forgot, here's what the outloud versus in their head thoughts look like. [in their head] "out loud" ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~Here's the story~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ POV: Third Person! ~~~[I couldn't believe it. Catnaps not died...] Is all Dogday could hear ringing around his head like the peal of a bell. He watched in horror and fascination as Catnap struggled to breath, laying on his side, by a pile of broken toy parts. Discarded as if worth nothing... Dogday could still crawl given his core upper body strength, but he still missed his legs. And Catnap was to blame. As Dogday stewed in his anger, he hadn't realized that he'd crawled next to Catnap's face. He could see the damage he'd received from the prototype. "All for nothing," whispered Dogday, "you could have avoided all of this if you'd have just listened to me." As Dogday reaches out to touch Catnap's face, he noticed that under his crescent moon pendant, there's a small slip of paper. He managed to take it without waking up Catnap. (Even though he doubted he could really do anything even if he had.) As he unfolded the piece of paper, it hit him like a brick when he saw his own face staring back at him, and not with fur and fluffy ears either. He was now holding an old photograph in his hands, of when he was little, (about 7 to 8) with his old gappy smile. And next to him was a face he thought he'd never see again, "Theodore..." Dogday gasped out. His hand went to his mouth before he could take back his words for he had awoken the beast that layed beside him.

Catnap knew that he didn't belong in this ragtag happy bunch of friends they call the "Smiling Critters." Though he considers them all great friends, most of them still seem to think of him as too "scary and creepy." His words are often too intricate and confusing for anyone to really understand what he's trying to say. His face is mostly too "smiley" and freaks everyone out whenever they catch him in their sight. But above all else, he's too hard to approach. No one really knows what he's thinking. He's too mysterious. They don't know the first thing about him and his true intentions. ...But he was never trying to be part of any of those things. He would love to call them all his friends if they would let him. And yet, none of them are willing to try. Except for one. There only existed one other of the group he could reliably call his "friend." One quiet night, Catnap sits beside his best companion, Dogday. The two talk for a while until the feline says "I hope that one day, I'll be like the rest of you." Not expecting much out of the other through this one moment of weakness, Catnap sits in silence. He feels as though he shouldn't have said anything, until... "Why don't I help you?" The dog suggests. With his attention suddenly grabbed, he looks to the canine. Could his dream really come true that easily?

Dogday is the loyal, brave and sunshine leader of The Smiling Critters, recently he's been out of sorts. He has faint dark circles under his eyes and he's been forcing his smile to hard lately. Catnap the co-leader of the smiling group has picked up on symptoms of something darker in Dogday then just tiredness.

Ever since you left, nothing has been the same. Even though we're all still together, we're no longer who we used to be just small fragments of what remained from our past. Now, with blood-stained hands and sinful consciences, we thought we would never feel true happiness again... until you came back. But the fear is still there. We constantly fear that someone will take you away from us again, and we won't let that happen. We are no longer weak children without a voice or a choice. We are monsters, starving for the warm and radiant peace you bring into our darkness. We're sorry for being selfish and dragging you into this world filled with pain and danger, but we will never let you go again... even if we have to leave more corpses along the way.

Dogday had always been a model student-talented, pleasant, kind, and extraordinarily remarkable in a crowd. Catnap, a newly arrived guy, hides a secret that no one can ever know. After a small mishap, Dogday will become Catnap's new friend and help him with his problem, returning the favor in a rather peculiar way. Most impressive rankings #13 in Catnap

During The Hour Of Joy, DogDay finds himself trapped in a real nightmare; being imprisoned by CatNap and tortured for years. He never knew what became of his friends. He never knew if they really died, as CatNap told him numerous times during his torture, or if they managed to escape his clutches. DogDay believes his destiny is already written; He was going to die there, immersed in the uncertainty and pain of torture, unable to escape that hell where he was placed by the friend he respected the most. Everything will be solved with the arrival of a savior. Some angels who came from heaven and that will change the story we all know. Catnap gotten himself injured over chasing the player. But his god comes down to "save him" only in result of his own downfall but finding himself in a new world. He met up with an old best friend who Catnap thought was the enemy but instead his savior. After realizing his mistakes, he took upon himself to reconcile with the others. But he finds himself conflicted with feelings for his best friend.
