Severus Snape has done many stupid things in his life. Too many to count. The only thing he didn't anticipate was that his recent mistake would lead him to growing horns and a tail. Long story short, the entire castle got affected by the spell. The only good thing in this mess was that it happened in the summer holidays, meaning no students were present. The bad news...he had to get someone to fall in love with him. Soon. A pretty impossible task considering that the enchantment made the entire world forget about Hogwarts and its professors. No matter what she did to staunch it, the injury seemed to be a pain in her ass, stubbornly fighting to make it's presence known and now it had somehow taken a worse form. Snape couldn't hide his flinch as his eyes refused to be torn away from the bruise and it was hard to tell whether it was her predicament or the term itself that disturbed him more. Hermione has joined back in Hogwarts to finish her education when she realizes that stress and trauma has caught up to her and now she has to deal with a terminal curse. As she struggles to cope with the disease physically and emotionally, she finds the unlikeliest of persons as her caretaker and companion. #triggerwarning for anyone suffering from terminal diseases or chronic illness. Every life is precious and unique and everyone reacts in different ways to suffering. This story is not meant to be didactic or propound any moral cause.
