Her mother was assassinated, her very first best friend got killed, she never fit in, and now, she's in love with a guy who's apparently over twenty. She always expected to fall in love with a prince, but her very own personal knight? Who knew. But, a dark evil lies under the kingdom's nose. ~UNDER EDITING~ if you read this you're braver than i am This story contains mature themes, very occasional strong language, ᵃⁿᵈ ˢᵒᵐᵉ ˢᵐᵘᵗ (but you'll have to look pretty hard to find it and I'd honestly be impressed if you made it that far). It's blocked out and labelled, that way you can skip it if it isn't really your thing. The plot has grown up with me and kind of become my love child. It's pretty fragmented at the moment, but I do wholly encourage you to read through each chunk (otherwise you'll easily miss the spicy romance lol). I'm working on filling in what's missing. Of course, the beginning is the most developed part now, but I have at least majorly spruced up the remaining old chapters. I'm also working on including little guiding notes to fill you in on missing details and arcs that don't quite line up yet.
