In therapy, healing did have a shadow. - A story for black girls who are living the best way they know how with what they were dealt. This story follows Girly a month after she was released from her three month stay at an inpatient treatment center regarding her disordered eating. Conflicted by the ending of her not so recent breakup and much more, read as she walks us through her present life, obsessively reflecting on the past. Her mandatory therapy, maybe good for her at first, becomes a pawn in her dismay. Self aware of who she is, she still cycles through her own self destructive impulses, searching for meaning in her life with fleeting moments of comfort through old habits, life, and work in the entertainment industry. Time moves depressingly slow in this waiting game of her life. Long, isolated days in bed journaling. An overwhelming desire to be understood, and to understand. She takes us along this journey of false hope and self-discovery. See her thoughts become louder over time. This is not a love story. (writing a story that is built from experiences throughout my life, current events, and my thoughts. just putting it all into words, into a character. it's not all just about me though, it's about the characters too. this is their story too. i just like to write. it's a form of venting for me. read if you like or if you're nosy and interested in a deep dive into my life) ITS LIKE MY PERSONAL DIGITAL JOURNAL (the doctor in my book isn't a real person from my life, he's just meant to represent everything all in one, a cycle, he's symbolic, and how for the main character, all roads lead to rome) (ai for spelling fixes and punctuation clean up, that's it. if you see em dashes or semicolons, i put it there. otherwise, my own writing is mine mine mine)

[UPDATES: Tuesdays] Famed actress Elizabeth Olsen, seeking respite from the Hollywood blockbuster scene, takes on an intimate indie film project, Fractured Stars, about loss and healing. The film brings her to a sleepy German town, where she meets Isabelle Astra Mason, a precocious 15-year-old starting actress who has just suffered a devastating loss: the death of her father. Their shared project mirrors Isabelle's life so closely it feels almost eerie. Bound by their adjacent hotel rooms and the film's emotionally raw content, Elizabeth and Isabelle form an unorthodox but deeply transformative bond that feels almost maternal. As the line between art and reality blurs, Elizabeth grapples with her own vulnerabilities as a mother figure, navigating Isabelle's grief while balancing her role as a wife to musician Robbie Arnett, who remains in the U.S. Isabelle, meanwhile, finds herself torn between her fierce independence and yearning for guidance and care she hasn't had since birth. Together, they'll discover that healing doesn't come in the way they expect but through connection and shared strength.

"And you kept smiling at him." "I was being polite," I whispered weakly. "Mm." The sound she made sent another shiver through me. My pulse spiked immediately. She lowered herself close to the side of my face, her breath fanning my ear. She whispered darkly, "well, baby girl." She nipped my ear then. "Tonight..." Her hand came up to my throat. Not hurting Not choking. But firm enough to steal my breath away. Then she pulled back a little to look at my lips. Her gaze rose to my eyes then. Eyes dark. Pupils blown wide. "I'm not going to be." ... Jules has always lived carefully-balancing expectations, responsibilities, and the quiet weight of a world that doesn't always leave room for uncertainty. But everything begins to shift when she meets Jeanna, a confident and composed businesswoman who disrupts the rhythm of Jules' guarded life in the most unexpected way. What starts as a connection neither of them fully understands slowly deepens into something impossible to ignore. Jeanna is patient, steady, and unwavering in a way Jules has never experienced before-offering her not just affection, but space to grow, to question, and to choose for herself. Set against the backdrop of a conservative environment, this story explores identity, courage, and the complexity of choosing love when it feels like everything else is at stake. At its core, it's about two women finding their way to each other-not perfectly, but honestly.

Joey Rhodes was a girl who hated her life. As any 17 year old girl does. Her parents sucked, but didn't. They weren't the worst people alive, but definitely not the best. They fought a lot. Maybe that was why her relationship was the way it was. Chaos was normal so those bruises on her felt normal. One day, a casting director saw her while she was working. She told Joey she needed to audition for her and with nothing to lose or gain she did. Surprisingly, she got the job and suddenly her whole life changed. As the job was a role of a trouble girl adopted by the Avengers. Scarlett Johansson mother figure Warning mental health, description of depression, self harm topics/thoughts/motions. Introduction. Some people don't cry for help. They just... stop asking. Eraya was one of them. She existed in corners, in the last bench of a lecture hall, in the shadow of her own hoodie, in silences that felt too heavy for someone her age. No one questioned it. No one looked twice. Except Zivah. Zivah, who carried light like it belonged to her. Zivah, who laughed too easily, loved too deeply, and never realized that the softest hearts are the ones that break the hardest. She wasn't searching for a love story. She already had a life full of warmth, of people, of everything Eraya wasn't. But something about that silence, something about the way Eraya flinched at nothing, felt wrong. And Zivah couldn't look away. Because sometimes, love doesn't begin with attraction. Sometimes it begins with noticing what everyone else ignores. What she didn't know was this, some silences are not chosen. Some homes are not safe. And some girls are not waiting to be loved... they are waiting to be saved. And when the moment came, when the world decided Eraya was nothing more than a burden to be traded away, Zivah made a choice. Not a loud one. Not a heroic one. Just a quiet, trembling decision that changed everything. "If no one wants her... I do." This is not a story of perfect love. It is a story of staying. Of unlearning fear. Of holding someone so gently... they forget what it felt like to be hurt. Because sometimes, the softest rescues are the ones that save you the most.
