Wanting to know what's wrong with the man, Light attempts to confront L about it only to receive a rather cryptic, vague response from him. Not only this, but Light soon learns that L may not be alive by the end of the day due to unforseen circumstances, and that if he wants to do something about it, it may mean giving up the very dream he's had since the first the day he picked up the Death Note.
