All Aubrey wanted was one last perfect summer-but with the Sinclairs, perfection always comes at a cost. ***** ***** ***** 𝑆𝓊𝓂𝓂𝑒𝓇 𝒮𝒾𝓍𝓉𝑒𝑒𝓃 𝒸𝒽𝒶𝓃𝑔𝑒𝒹 𝑒𝓋𝑒𝓇𝓎𝓉𝒽𝒾𝓃𝑔. Aubrey Scott was never a Sinclair, but every summer on Beechwood Island made her feel like she was. The lemon trees, the barefoot dinners, the scent of salt on Johnny Sinclair's hoodie - it was more than tradition. It was home. But this summer wasn't like the others. Cracks formed. Truths unraveled. And something in the air-like smoke-warned that nothing gold can stay. Because some summers leave marks you don't see until it's far too late. (We Were Liars, 2025)

charlotte ames came from money. old money. though, that money really never did too much for her. charlotte was born to pure elegance, yet raised until the age of nine by her opioid addicted mother. when everyone has left her behind, only her family's closest friends, the sinclair family, are left. between charlotte ames's golden hair, tall stature, and monumental trust fund, she fits perfectly into the lives of this coastal, cashmere-soft family who spend their summers on their private beechwood island. in fact, she fits in even better with the "liars," cadence, mirren, johnny, and gat. charlotte has spent her years, and especially summers, indulging in sinclair summers, parties, and even skirmish bickerings. she is one of the "american royalty" who live in this perfect, perfect world. well, perfect until you look closer. there was an accident the summer of sixteen. exactly what, charlotte cannot seem to remember, as she does her best to drown herself in pills and flickerings of memories. what she can remember: being desperately in love with johny sinclair; reckless, impossible, and as carved into her as the shoreline. their story has always felt written in salt air and champagne bubbles. but when the lies they've all been telling start to surface, charlotte must untangle the truth from trauma, memory from in-between the pills, and love from legacy. when she returns to the island summer 17, charlotte finds herself in a haunting romance steeped in vintage linen, beach lilies, seashells, and the ache of trying to remember the fire she may have started. charlotte will soon learn beautiful people do terrible things, and old money can't fix burns this deep. season 1 // female oc x johnny sinclair childhood friends to lovers

On Beechwood Island, everything gleams. The sun on the water, the crisp white of the Sinclair houses, the perfect smiles of perfect families. I've known Johnny Sinclair my whole life - or at least, the version of him that summers here: charming, sharp-tongued, golden. The boy who lives for July Fourth bonfires, for cannonball splashes off the dock, for teasing me about my hair when it frizzes in the salt air. We are the children of old money. We are the products of privilege and tradition. We are beautiful liars, all of us. And yet, when the cracks start to show - in the family, in the friendships, in the island itself - Johnny's the only one who looks me in the eye and sees me for real. Maybe that's why I never saw the disaster coming.

Emma Brooke had probably been one of the happiest children every summer of her life. For as long as she could remember, her mom had worked as the cook for the Sinclairs, a popular family who spent every summer on Beechwood Island. As it happened, Emma was around the same age as the oldest children of the three Sinclair daughters, and they quickly became her best friends. Mirren, Cadence, and Johnny had welcomed the brown-haired, green-eyed girl when they were all about four years old, and the kids had been inseparable ever since. Later, when they called themselves the Liars, they welcomed another boy into the group: Gat, the nephew of Johnny's mother's new boyfriend. From then on, the group was tightly knit, spending every minute of every day together. Emma hoped her life would never change. Until it did. Until nothing was ever the same after Summer Sixteen.

Welcome to the Harrington family. We are honest. Hardworking. Faithful to our morals. And successful. We live-at least in the summer-on a private island off the coast of Massachusetts. The Harringtons are tall, athletic, and attractive. Old-money Democrats, passionate about sports, with an immense need to present themselves as a united family. The Harringtons have wide smiles, square jaws, blond hair, and sun-kissed skin. All of them, except me.
