After contacting the police, he had to go with his uncle, billionaire Tony Stark (Stank iykyk), since he was still a minor. After finally warming up to his uncle and his strange group of friends, his vacation from the Greek world is temporarily put on hold due to the disappearance of the Mist and the endangerment of his camp and friends within it.

The war against the Giants and Gaia was worse than they thought; New Rome was destroyed, and Camp Half-Blood was left with those too young or unable to fight, leaving Percy and Nico the only remnants of a past life. In thanks, and their fathers' fears, they were made into gods, and were given domains. Percy, without Annabeth and his friends and family, is at a loss what to do; Nico appeared to be the same, constantly escaping his duties. But then they meet up again, reopening old wounds and a wish for companionship as young gods.
