They cough up blood and petals until they find new love or get surgery. Some even let the petals worsen. The longer you have Hanahaki, the worse the petals are. If you get the surgery, it removes all emotions so you would feel nothing. Eijiro is head over heels in love with Katsuki but Katsuki doesn't return his feelings. Eijiro develops a disease called Hanahaki (see above) and this story is about his recovery and what recovery he will choose. Will he try to find new love? Or will he give up his emotions to no longer feel the pain?

A Hanahaki Kaminari and Kirishima story WARNING: blood due to the hanahaki disease, some violent acts, and death Denki Kaminari is in love with his best friend, Eijiro Kirishima, but what is he supposed to do when he starts coughing up... petals? Also he doesn't want to lose his feelings for Shinso. That means no surgery even if it kills him.
