A year after Sidney's mother had been murdered, Taylor, Sidney, and their four other friends start their week off in a good tone, minor inconveniences run their way until Wednesday night, when two classmates are murdered. The friend group continues their week dodging attacks from a masked murderer until the anniversary of Sidney's mother's death, where the girls end up fighting for their lives as the killer hunts them down, taking their friends down on the way.
