Her 3 year old capall usice, who isn't kin on other people then Amber. But when someone on Thisby finds out a American is keeping a water horse 'captured' on shore all heck brakes threw. In order to keep her best friend she must race in the race and win and prove that the water horses can survive on the mainland. But if she looses then she looses what means the most to her.
