Harry is forced into socializing on the one year anniversary of his and Ginny's break up. It's not the break up that's bothering him. He hasn't thought about Ginny for well over ten months. It's the meaningful relationship that he regrets losing. There's no way he'd skip Luna birthday celebration, so he copes by drinking way too much. Waking up the next morning, he discovers that he's not alone. Moreover, he's with the one person that he can't keep his eyes off of. His overthinking causes a horrible mistake.

Instead of being alone while his friends enjoy their Hogsmeade weekends, Harry joins Theodore Nott in the library. A casual acquaintance offers different perspectives on what Harry has to deal with while opening his eyes to everything and everyone around him. It leaves him with more questions but a bigger world.
