An out-of-solar system colony project gone wrong meant Jessie English was stuck doing most of the work assigned to the deceased science crew. Sticking to his morals meant being left for dead by those in charge. By chance, he meets Luc, a member of the planet's sentient avian humanoid species. All Jessie wants to do now is live out the rest of his days with him, and hopefully get past the language barrier that prevents him from communicating the feelings of love he hopes are mutual. Unfortunately, sightings of a human and an alien together are more interesting to the colony's higher-ups than one would hope. *** Born the runt of his clutch, Luc had never held anyone so small, so soft... He was all Jessie had, so he would do everything to shield him from others of his kind, and by extension, protect the whole human race. -------- AVIAN has been COMPLETED on the writer's end (30 chapters + five bonus stories) and is on a bi-weekly upload schedule. Total Word Count, excluding five bonus stories: 76,500 words. Average chapter length: 2,500 words.

Viktor didn't expect to be abducted by aliens when he went to school one morning, and he certainly didn't expect to be thrown into the alien equivalent of a dog-fighting ring, either. But when fighting for his life quickly becomes his routine, will he be able to muster up the strength to break that mold? Especially when the fate of humanity rests on his shoulders? *** The Vokkrus, a warrior alien species, go to Earth with the intention to 'rescue' the human species from their dying planet. The catch is that they believe humans to be nonsentient and incapable of intelligent thought. They are treated as nothing more than the common animal. They are a commodity, something to fawn over and ogle at. Humanity's strength and stamina are nearly unrivaled on this new planet, and when Viktor is taken to an alien fighting ring, he quickly dominates the competition. Mercy has no place in the arena. When Viktor is adopted by the leader of the Vokkrus, an intimidating alien whose intentions are unclear, he is forced to shed his wariness and convince the alien king to save humanity from his accidental oppression. *** Please don't advertise other stories in the comments! The boy, because of his size, presents a whole new set of challenges for the adoptive mother. ~~~~~^*^*^*^*^~~~~~ Parker knew he was different, but never truly understood why. He was unnaturally good at balancing. He had keen hearing and sight. His senses always felt heightened and he could predict when people were near. Believing he had a genetic condition that kept him from growing beyond four-and-a-half inches, Parker attributed his natural skills as part of his condition and lived as normal of a life as possible. Once he gets old enough, however, his world comes crashing down and makes him question who - what - he is. ~~~~~^*^*^*^*^~~~~~ This is the story of their journey.

Two roommates. One friendship. A world of difference. Kye is a giant, but he's never felt larger than life. Shy, awkward, and hiding behind oversized hoodies, he's perfectly content fading into the background-except when a bottle of alcohol is in his hands. His quiet kindness is often overshadowed by his bad habits, and though he pretends not to care, there's one person whose opinion means everything to him. Mason, on the other hand, is human-and the complete opposite of Kye. Popular, confident, and full of energy, he thrives in the spotlight, surrounded by friends and teammates who adore him. But no matter how many people fill the room, he always seems to drift back to Kye, the so-called weirdo that others overlook. They've been best friends for years. Nothing more. Nothing less. Until one night, Kye gets too drunk, and suddenly, everything is too much, too fast, too real. Now, the boundaries between them are blurring, emotions rising to the surface that neither of them were prepared for. As Kye wrestles with the fear of ruining the only thing keeping him afloat, and Mason starts questioning why he keeps gravitating back to his giant of a best friend, the tension between them grows. Will Kye finally get the man he's been secretly in love with for years? Will Mason realize that the connection between them runs deeper than just friendship? Or is this just one giant emotional wreck waiting to happen? Read now to follow their journey-where size isn't the only difference between them, but love just might be the thing that bridges the gap.
