Tim Drake knew he wasn't the best Robin. He knew that. He knew Dick was more graceful, flexible, faster, made everything look easy. He knew Jason was stronger, more determined, brutal and fierce. Tim knew he wasn't like them....and yet...he wanted to be more like them. He would do anything to be more like the, Train, stop eating, he even gave up all the sleep he could just to be like them. To finally fill the boots of Robin that seemed far too big. No one notices as he burns himself dry until a motorcycle crash. "Why is everyone better than me?"

Tim used to talk a lot. He used to love to talk. When did he stop talking? When had he become quiet? When did he stop feeling comfortable talking to Bruce and Dick? He didn't have to think long before it was supplied helpfully by his brain. Oh, right. That's why. ////// OR! Tim learns to shut up so he doesn't love Batman and Nightwing.

It had taken three hours to trace the bullet. Three hours to hunt. Three hours to find him. It took less for Tim to decide to flip the killing switch on OR//// Tim Drake finds his parents dead and goes kinda crazy.

Jason Todd loved the Robin uniform. He really did. The cape? Iconic. Dramatic. It flared just right when he jumped, snapped in the wind like it was alive, like it knew it was important. The shirt fit him perfectly-tight enough to make him feel strong, loose enough to move. The gloves were awesome, actually. Flexible, grippy, made his hands feel like weapons. What the Robin uniform did not do-what it absolutely, criminally failed at-was keeping him warm. !!!!!!!!!! Or: Jason Todd is freezing on patrol and gets a concussion.

Tim made the easy decision to never listen to Bruce ever again. Look where that got him? Chains, broken ribs, and so high on drugs he couldn't see straight. Yeah, this sucked. This sucked so hard. All because he had obeyed orders instead of following his own gut. Aside from that, he didn't like how Poison Ivy was looking at him. OR///// Tim Drake gets kidnapped, has the worst two and a half weeks of his life and goes out of the frying pan into the Red Hood fire. PLEASE!!!!! THIS HAS SA IN IT AN IMPLIED RAPE!!! Robins don't have asthma. They don't. It's a fact. Because running around the streets of Gotham, getting thrown into freezing cold waters, beaten up by criminals, and chasing down peeps, required breathing. A lot of it. And whipping out an inhaler mid fight to take a drag like he's a chain smoker was so not an option. So when Tim Drake finds out he has asthma he knows one thing for certain. "Under any circumstances, don't tell Bruce." Because then, for his own safety and blah blah blah, Bruce would bench him so hard Tim's butt would have whiplash. And Tim could handle this! Because breathing, it's notorious for being easy. Literal babies did it. So Tim Drake could figure out how to do both. And he could handle this, thank you very much. OR////// Tim develops asthma and hides it from Batman and the other vigilantes. It's going so well! (Not.)

"Sometimes, it feels like you do not wish to concern yourself with me just because I am capable of being alone." ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Grayson is gone for 7 months and Damian is alone to handle his distant Father and the family that seems to want to have nothing to do with him. Not that Damian cares. He doesn't. If anyone could find a way to care less than Damian they still wouldn't be able to beat the lack of care Damian held. Because he didn't care when he walked into his Father's study just to get dismissed a moment later. He didn't care that the only time Todd talked to him was to complain to Damian about what an ingrate he was. He definitely didn't care that Drake wasn't living at the manor anymore and said he's drop by but never does. No. Damian Wayne did not care that he would basically be completely and utterly alone for 7 months and would spend those seven months lying to Grayson about all the "hang outs" he was doing with the family to keep Grayson from worrying that Damian was alone. So he lied. "Todd took me on a ride on his motorcycle." "Drake came to my art show at school." "Father and I talk a lot on patrol." Anything to keep Grayson from worrying. The issue? Damian was starting to wish his lies actually came true. Because like it or not, Damian had never felt so forgotten in his life. It's a good thing he doesn't care.

"All love is conditional" Damian says with dark eyes and a certainty that only reflected Bruce's own failure in himself. "Todd said it isn't but if that were true, you and Mother would love me without requiring me to change every day." Bruce felt his heart break as his own failure slapped him in the face. _________ Or! After Bruce says some hurtful things in anger, Damian runs away and Jason finds him and realizes the kid's twisted beliefs he's been forced to learn.
