Gon Freecss is the new lone wolf on a campus founded on cliques, frats, and sororities for paranormal species. With everyone and their grandmother trying to recruit Gon, the co-op where Killua and his rag-tag team of mixed-species seems to be the last place on Gon's list. Until Gon agrees to visit under the pretense of meeting a ghost and maybe, possibly hitting on Killua while he's there.

Killua is a boy who closely "observes" Gon Freeccs. Gon is typically boy who plays basketball, popular, and is seen to have an optimistic attitude. But just when Killua gets close to Gon, he realizes that his past and attitude are not what they seem.

These families fight with their human pawns in order to gain dominance and wealth. Gon gets a full scholarship to this private school and, of course, opts to attend. In doing so, he signs his name over to the Zoldycks, one of the largest vampiric households at the university.
