Tessa Whitmore has everything money, beauty, popularity, and a reputation sharp enough to keep everyone at a distance. People call her mean, dramatic, impossible. She stopped trying to prove them wrong a long time ago. Jacqueline "Jack" Carter is the opposite. A science major with bruised knuckles, a sharp tongue, and the confidence to be exactly who she is. Openly lesbian, unapologetically herself, and somehow more popular than the queen of the campus. When Jack arrives, Tessa's perfect world starts to crack. What begins as rivalry slowly turns into something far more dangerous because Jack sees right through her. And Tessa Whitmore has never been good at letting anyone see the real her. In a season where leaves fall and things change, some people fall too.

[COMPLETED] He was a veteran, she was a foreigner. He loved her, she could read his mind. He wore gloves to protect others from his sins. She wore kimonos to reclaim her identity. Willing Prey is a romance fantasy novel about a disillusioned ex-colonel, Gerald Aldrick, finally feeling his dead heart beat again after getting unfairly yelled at by a fearless geisha, Robin Taylor. But instead of anger or annoyance, Gerald feels nothing but admiration for her fervor and personality. Robin isn't as impressed with him, but fully plans to take advantage of his legendary colonel status for her own benefit with the help of her mind-reading ability. The question is, will she find herself feeling more for him than she initially expected? The story deals with heavy themes that are deeply personal for the characters. Gerald and his PTSD from war, dealing with the contradictory politics at home, and Robin with her identity issues as a trans immigrant. It's heavy, psychological, and grounded. The setting is fantastical but contemporary, a made-up world heavily inspired by ours, with a strong emphasis on society and politics. Genre: LGBTQ+ ROMANCE FANTASY Themes: psychology, trauma, identity, politics, sexuality, discrimination, wealthy privilege Tropes: love at first sight, enemies to lovers, millionaire boss, size difference, rivals love triangle Setting: modern urban fantasy, dark academia Rated MATURE for a reason-please, refer to the chapter titled 'disclaimer' for the full warning list.

For Cassie, life is mostly about passing exams, dealing with people, and trying not to have a mental breakdown every other chapter. She knows better than to expect peace. Fate has never been that kind, and its timing is always annoyingly perfect. So OF COURSE, that is when Chris shows up, the universe just decided to drag and drop him straight into her life. He is calm in an unsettling way, notices things he really should not, and somehow always knows what is going on in her life. He appears exactly when needed, asks the right questions, and gets way too comfortable being involved for someone nobody invited. What follows is academic stress, elite chaos, crossed lines, and the slow realisation that care can start to feel a lot like control. This is not a cute romance. It is about obsession acting normal, danger pretending to be concern, and a guy who really should not have this much access to anyone's life.
