This story alternates between different POVs. I know it's not cannon, but I like to fantasize that Aonung and Neteyam had a secret relationship during the movie The Way of Water. This mini story is about that, while the movie concentrates on Tsireya and Lo'ak's relationship, my story focuses on the secret relationship that Aonung and Neteyam hid from everyone. There are some parts of the movie in the story, but the rest is all mine. This is my first time writing one so be patient with me. Neteyam, with nothing left to lose is ready to put it all on the line for Aonung's love..... But Aonung, he has everything to lose. He wasn't afforded the luxury of free will like Neteyam was, but he doesn't want to lose him either. He's faced with a choice he never thought he'd make. And when the time comes, will he choose to lose Neteyam forever to please his people? Or will he choose Neteyam and lose all fears of being rejected?

Neteyam was dead. He died a warrior, protecting his family, his best friend, and his people. They all suffered from the loss, but nobody hurt as much as Ao'nung. In secret, he had bonded with Neteyam weeks before the fight against the demon ship. Na'vis were able to bond beyond what humans thought imaginable, and a mate's death was the worst pain they ever knew. Neteyam's death would have destroyed Ao'nung, if it weren't for one thing : He never felt the bond break. As much as he tried to tell his people, nobody believed him. But he knew. He couldn't explain it he simply knew. Of course, the only person that was ready to believe him was the one that couldn't accept Neteyam's death the most, and also the one that never obeyed a single order : Lo'ak. Or: How Neteyam and Ao'nung got together and how Ao'nung saves him from death. English is not my first language please be kind ;)

They are really like a diary through the lives of the characters I like. There may be some adult scenes but it is not the main theme.

They had to leave their home for safety reasons and it was the fault of the Sky people that were chasing them. Neteyam was not very excited to leave his home, however, in this new place he gets to meet an interesting, flirty boy, which makes him not regret the idea of them leaving their home and unexpectedly turn his world outside down.
