This was a one-shot from my Percy Jackson one-shots. It evolved into a story somehow... Well, enjoy then. ----- Percy has faced many things in life. Heartbreak was not one of them. He left his old life behind not knowing what was installed for him. Being an immortal nineteen-year-old living out in the universe - yes, space - was a tough and interesting choice. He finds what was once impossible, now possible. Good and evil are just labels to define what is or is not right and loving someone can have unexpected responsibilities. No one ever said being an immortal demigod was easy. -----

It had been 7 years. 7 years since Apollo became a god once again. 7 years since Percy and Annabeth realised they didn't love each other, at least not THAT way. Everything was going normal for once. The only oddity being when monsters tried to attack either camp. The gods were spending more time with their kids, making sure that they knew that the gods cared about them. Life was good. That is atleast until an earthquake collapsed a building.

Poseidon calls in a debt with Artemis to protect Percy when he is 6, and Artemis agrees reluctantly, and until he is 12, she protects him, honoring the debt, and does this by taking the form of a 6 year old mortal, and they become friends, which Artemis never expected. This makes their eventual separation when Percy turns twelve all the more painful. Artemis reveals her true form to him after he saves her from Mount Othrys, no longer being able to stay away from someone who'd become her closest friend and the two grow close once again. Eventually, a series of unexpected events occur, and a new threat is on the rise, and Percy is forced back into the divine world, and this threat makes the previous wars seem like the good old days. At times I know I've made pacing either too fast, or too slow, and things may seem rushed, or that they take forever, but I've done my best to write this as well as I could, this is also the first story I've written in First Person POVs, swapping mainly between Artemis and Percy, occasionally with other characters where it's relevant. Also this story is way longer than I intended it to be initially, mostly because I didn't have a plan, and also because after a certain point I just began saying "You know what? Fuck it. Why not" and adding a lot of stuff, so yeah there's a lot of different sub plots and storylines within this story, that's pretty much the main reason it's so long, I've done my best to make sure there are as few plot holes as possible, and that each arc ends properly, but there's probably still some.

Artemis?! Zoe?! Perseus Jackson, what is going on with your life right now? This spells trouble for everyone. A little bit of a different plot line I suppose. Read if you want, ignore if you don't. Well, I was thinking that this one is hardly ever done. So, I hope you enjoy it as much as I have enjoyed writing it. It isn't done yet, of course, but I have been debating about putting this up.
