Basically, the reader, aka, You are a surrogate for your sister because she found out she was infertile. Under different circumstances, you would've flat out never offered. But shes your older sister. The one you swore you'd protect and defend. You both went through so much and you knew how much she wanted to be a mother. To have a kid and raise him or her in a household where the mom wouldn't be beat to death, where the dad wouldn't go haywire and start hurting the child out of rage. Or try to kill the mom in front of her kids and see what they would do to get him to stop. You both went through fucked ip shit through your childhood. Even your little sisters, but they never really got beat like you and your older sister were. They never got beat to the point you couldn't move without feeling plunges of pain. And even then. You never hesitated to take your sister's beatings if it were possible. You were the strongest in the family, besides your dad. You made sure of it. She replayed the game until it was the only thing in her life that still made her feel anything. Then she died, and God asked her where she wanted to go. Aster Loxley wakes up in The Freak Circus two months before Day 1, in a body that is not entirely human, in an apartment she did not rent, with a job she did not apply for and a script she has memorized by heart. She has a plan: stay quiet, stay hidden, let the protagonist have her story and help her when needed. The plan does not survive the morning she sees a red clown shoved to the ground in the street.
